Delays in Lamu Port South Sudan Ethiopia Transport (Lapsset) corridor and the fall in global oil prices will stretch Kenya’s plans to produce oil beyond 2017, a new study says. Tanzania: Solo Oil and Aminex reach Agreement to Farm out Ruvuma Petroleum Sharing Agreement to Bowleven

Solo Oil is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Aminex plc to farmout a 12.5% net working interest in the Ruvuma Petroleum Sharing Agreement in Tanzania to Aminex in a back-to back agreement which will see Bowleven plc, an AIM listed oil and gas company, join the Ruvuma PSA joint venture with a 50% net working interest. Kenya: Canadian Firm Simba Energy Seeks Sh214m for Oil Exploration in Mandera

Simba Energy, a Canadian oil and gas exploration firm, has announced plans to raise Sh214 million ($2.1 million) to fund exploration work in Mandera. Largest Gas Engine Power Plant in Sub-Saharan Africa to Be Built in Ghana

Tanzania: TPDC to Take Oil Search a Notch Higher

Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) will start an advanced search for oil in Lake Tanganyika, the state-owned firm said at the weekend. Sudan to Boost Oil, Gas Production Despite Slumping Crude Prices

Oil-rich South Sudan seceded from what is now the Republic of Sudan in 2011. Tanzania: Seafarers Embark on Deep Waters Gas, Oil Exploration

The move comes after the accomplishment of all legal procedures and fulfillment of sailor’s demands such as health insurance and working contracts to companies that they will be working with.
