Uganda President meets Total executives over Crude oil pipeline construction

Uganda President Yoweri Museveni has held a meeting with Total’s Exploration and Production Africa Division Vice President Jabier Rielo over the development of a crude oil pipeline ahead of production in 2018.

 
The meeting was also attended by the Minister for Energy and Mineral development Eng. Irene Muloni and the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Energy Mr. Kabagambe Kalisa.
 
Uganda is planning to a construct an oil export pipeline from Uganda to Kenya’s coast as booth countries seek to start crude production.
 
According to reports, the Ministry of Energy is also due to sign oil production licenses with France’s
